Is there a Candy Shorts app? Install the web app instead

There’s no Candy Shorts app in the App Store or on Google Play: Candy’s help center says it has no native iPhone or Android app. Instead, you install the website as a web app. Open candyshorts.com or candy.ai, choose Add to Home Screen, and it opens full-screen from its own icon, with the same account and the same free episodes.

  1. 1Open the site

Why there’s no App Store or Google Play app

Candy’s help center puts it plainly: there’s no native app for iOS or Android, and the way to get an app-like experience is to add the site to your home screen. Candy doesn’t spell out why, but store rules are the obvious reason: Apple’s App Store and Google Play don’t accept apps built around sexually explicit content, and Candy Shorts is an 18+ service.

For you that’s mostly good news. There’s nothing to download from a store, updates arrive on their own, and the web app plays exactly what the website plays: 118 series, with episodes 1 and 2 of every series free with a free account.

Install on iPhone or iPad

  1. Step 1: Open Safari

Safari’s Share menu is the route Candy documents. Recent iOS versions let other browsers add web apps too, but Safari is the sure path.

  2. Step 2: Go to candyshorts.com or candy.ai

Log in first if you already have an account.

  3. Step 3: Tap Share

It’s the square with an upward arrow in the toolbar; on newer iOS layouts it may sit behind the ⋯ button.

  4. Step 4: Choose Add to Home Screen

Scroll the share sheet if you don’t see it. Edit the name if you like, then tap Add. If iOS shows an Open as Web App switch, leave it on.

  5. Step 5: Open it from the icon

It runs full-screen, without Safari’s bars. Log in once inside it: Home Screen web apps keep their own login.

Install on Android

  1. Step 1: Open Chrome

Samsung Internet and other Android browsers have similar menu options; these steps are Chrome’s.

  2. Step 2: Go to candyshorts.com or candy.ai

  3. Step 3: Tap ⋮, then Add to Home screen

Chrome may call it Install app when a site supports it. Confirm with Add or Install.

  4. Step 4: Open it from the icon

It opens in its own window. Allow notifications if you want to hear about new episodes.

Use it on Windows or Mac

On a computer you don’t need to install anything: bookmark candyshorts.com or candy.ai and watch in the browser. If you’d like a separate window with its own dock or taskbar icon, Chrome and Edge can install many sites as apps from their menus (look for an Install option), and Safari on recent versions of macOS has File → Add to Dock.

Candy doesn’t document desktop installs, so treat that as optional: the browser tab plays the same episodes with the same account.

Apps with “Candy” in the name that are not Candy Shorts

Search an app store for “Candy Shorts” and you’ll find apps that have nothing to do with Candy AI. The common types:

  • Short-drama apps: vertical soap-opera series sold with coins or episode passes. Similar format, different company, different catalogue.
  • AI companion apps with “candy” in the name or an icon made to look like Candy’s.
  • AI photo and video apps that borrow the name for search traffic.

None of them carries Candy’s series or your Candy account. The official service lives at two addresses: candy.ai and candyshorts.com. Our safety guide walks through spotting fake Candy sites and apps.

APKs and “mod” apps: why to skip them

There’s no official Candy APK, so every “Candy AI APK”, “Candy Shorts APK” or “premium unlocked” mod comes from someone else. That matters for three reasons:

  • Malware. APKs from unknown sources can carry spyware, adware or banking trojans, and Android makes you switch off a protection to install them.
  • Account theft. Fake apps that show a Candy-style login page capture your email and password.
  • Stolen cards. “Activate Premium” screens inside mods are a known way to harvest card numbers.

The promise doesn’t hold up anyway: your episodes, tokens and Premium status live on Candy’s servers, tied to your account, so an app on your phone can’t legitimately unlock them. That’s why “premium unlocked” files are bait.

Turn on notifications for new episodes

Candy’s help center says the installed web app can send push notifications, which is the easiest way to hear about new series, since Candy doesn’t promise a release schedule. On iPhone and iPad, websites can only send notifications once they’re on your Home Screen: open the web app from its icon and allow them when asked. On Android, allow them when Chrome asks, or later in the site’s settings.

Want them discreet? Set lock-screen previews to “when unlocked” or off for the web app. Meanwhile, here’s this month’s new series.

Troubleshooting the web app

  • No Add to Home Screen option. On iPhone, make sure you’re in Safari and scroll the share sheet; on Android, update Chrome and try the ⋮ menu again.
  • It opens in the browser, not full-screen. Remove the icon and add it again from Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android).
  • Logged out inside the web app. Log in once in the web app itself; on iPhone it keeps a separate session from Safari.
  • No notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for the web app in your phone’s settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t hiding them.
  • Episodes won’t play. Reload, check your connection, or try the other site (candyshorts.com or candy.ai) with the same login.

Test it with a free episode

Installed? Open one of these and play episode 1: it costs nothing and shows you the player in action.

FAQ

Is there a Candy Shorts app on the App Store?

No. Candy’s help center says there’s no native iPhone or iPad app, so apps with “Candy” in the name on the App Store come from other companies. To get an app-like icon, open candyshorts.com or candy.ai in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen; it opens full-screen with your Candy account.

Is Candy AI on Google Play?

No. There’s no Candy AI or Candy Shorts app on Google Play, according to Candy’s help center. On Android, open the site in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen (or Install app, if Chrome offers it). The web app uses the same account and plays the same episodes as the website.

Is there an official Candy AI APK?

No. Candy doesn’t distribute an APK, so any “Candy AI APK” or “Candy Shorts APK” download comes from someone else. Installing APKs from unknown sources gives an unvetted app access to your phone, and “mod” versions that promise free Premium are a common way to spread malware or steal logins.

Is the Candy AI mod APK safe?

No. A “mod” or “premium unlocked” APK is a modified app from an unknown source. Your episodes, tokens and Premium status are tied to your account on Candy’s servers, so an app on your phone can’t legitimately unlock them; what it can do is install malware, capture your login or show fake payment pages. Use the official web app instead.

How do I get Candy Shorts on my iPhone?

Open candyshorts.com or candy.ai in Safari, tap the Share button, scroll to Add to Home Screen and tap Add; you can rename the icon first. Open Candy Shorts from that icon and it runs full-screen like an app. Log in once inside it, and allow notifications if you want alerts about new episodes.

Does the web app cost anything?

No. Installing the web app is free and doesn’t change what you pay: the free episodes stay free, and locked episodes cost the same tokens as on the website. Premium, if you choose it, is billed by Candy through its own checkout, not through an app store.

Can I get notified when new episodes drop?

Yes, through the web app. Candy’s help center says the installed web app can send push notifications. On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work after you add the site to your Home Screen and open it from there. Candy doesn’t promise a release schedule, so notifications are the easiest way to hear about new series.
