Candy AI Shorts is a good-value way to binge short vertical AI series, if you like its themes: episodes 1 and 2 of every of its 118 series are free, and Premium at $3.99 a month (12-month plan) buys enough tokens for about two five-episode series a month. The catch: tokens come on top of the subscription, runtimes aren’t published and the catalogue leans hard on step-family plots.

As a video service, Candy AI Shorts does one thing well: short, vertical, bingeable AI drama with a generous free sample on every series. What it asks in return is patience with tokens. No score from us, just the trade-offs:
We reviewed Candy AI Shorts as a video service, not the whole Candy AI app. Everything here can be checked: the public page of every series on candyshorts.com and candy.ai, read as a guest in September 2026 (episode lists, free and locked episodes, token prices, subtitle and dub tracks); Candy’s plans page, with prices checked on September 28, 2026; and Candy’s help center articles on billing, refunds, apps and release schedules.
What we don’t do: score the service, rate episodes or claim viewing hours we can’t show you. Taste is yours to judge, and the free episodes are the fair way to judge it.
Every series is vertical video made to fill a phone screen, and every character is AI-generated: fictional adults or, on the 7 Candy Creators series, licensed AI likenesses of adult performers. Episodes are short (Candy describes them as roughly one to three minutes) and numbered, and most series follow the same tight structure: 107 of 118 have exactly five episodes, two free and three locked.
Candy doesn’t publish technical specs such as resolution, so we won’t rate the picture. The fair test is the free episodes: they’re regular episodes, not trailers, so they show exactly how a series looks before you pay. On a big screen, expect side bars; the format is vertical by design.
The public catalogue has 118 series and 677 episodes: 92 Candy originals, 7 Candy Creators series and 19 with other characters, 13 of them flagged new in September 2026. Candy tags each series by theme, and one series can carry several tags:

Step-family setups are the most common premise: 30 series carry the Stepmom or Stepsister tag and 6 more put a step-relative in the title, 36 in all, about 31% of the catalogue. Relationships in those stories are step- or in-law ones, as Candy describes them.
If that isn’t your thing, the list thins out but doesn’t vanish: 9 fantasy series such as Sworn to the Queen, workplace power games like Yes, Coach, and 22 untagged series that include thrillers such as She Was Sent to Kill Me and Talia Undercover.
Length varies less than you’d expect: 107 series have five episodes, and only 5 run to 15 or more, led by My bestie betrayed me at 34. Our picks of where to start sort the catalogue by mood.
On the series page we checked in detail (YES MA'AM on candyshorts.com), the player offers Watch Trailer and Watch Episode buttons, playback speed, subtitles, dubbed audio and fullscreen. Subtitles are widespread: on the free episodes, 116 of 118 series offer six languages, and 22 add Japanese. Dubbed audio is rarer, on 14 series. We didn’t see a download button or a quality setting among the controls.
On candy.ai the player is also a doorway to chat: 99 series credit a lead character who has a chat profile, and the player is set up to point you to that chat when an episode ends.
Premium costs $3.99 a month on the 12-month plan (billed $47.88), $8.99 a month on the 3-month plan ($26.97) or $13.99 for one month, as of September 2026; check the checkout for your region. Shorts is one tab of a bigger product. The same Premium plan covers Candy’s AI girlfriend chat (unlimited text messages), image and video generation and the full Live Action experience, per Candy’s benefit list, and those tools spend tokens too. That’s the trade-off for a Shorts-only viewer: part of what you pay for is chat and creation tools you may never open.

Worth trying, yes, because episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free. Worth paying for once you’ve found series you want to finish: on the 12-month plan a typical five-episode series uses about $1.44 of tokens, and Premium’s 100 monthly tokens cover two of them. Yes. Candy Shorts is the video side of Candy AI, run by EverAI Ltd. in Malta, with its own site at candyshorts.com and a Shorts tab on candy.ai. Billing goes through Candy’s checkout and shows as “EverAI” on statements, per Candy’s help center. The shady part of the ecosystem is the lookalike sites, apps and leak pages around it.

If you want long-form stories, a TV app or every episode free, it’s not a great fit.
