Shorts first: where most people start
Candy AI Shorts is the part of Candy most visitors meet first: 118 vertical AI series in the public catalogue, with episodes of about 1 to 3 minutes. The first 2 episodes of most series are free with a free account (237 free episodes in all); locked episodes cost 12 tokens each, or 30 on the 7 creator series.

How Shorts viewers use the rest of Candy AI
Step 1: Watch the free episodes
Start a series and see whether the story and its lead work for you. It costs nothing on a free account.
Step 2: Chat with the character you just watched
99 of the 118 series credit a lead character who also has a chat profile on Candy AI, so you can carry on with her in Chat.
Step 3: Picture a scene
Premium members can generate images of characters, in Generate Image or inside a chat.
Step 4: Step into a scene with Live Action
Select characters offer interactive Live Action video on Premium; some actions are free, others cost tokens.
Step 5: Build your own
When no series has the companion you want, Create Character lets you design one: 1 on a free account, more with Premium.
Chat: girlfriend, boyfriend and anime companions
Chat is the core of Candy AI. Its characters sit in three tabs, “Girls”, “Anime” and “Guys”, and they all work the same way: pick one, start typing, and the conversation continues for as long as you do. A free account gets up to 5 messages in total, across every character (Candy help center, “What can I do as a free user?”, Aug 5, 2026). Premium removes that cap: Candy lists unlimited text messages among its benefits.
Beyond text, tokens pay for voice messages, voice calls (in beta) and pictures. Candy’s interface is officially in English and French, but characters can chat in other languages too. Every character is a fictional, AI-generated adult, and Candy’s Creators section adds licensed AI twins of adult performers.

Create: characters, images and video
Characters
Create Character lets you design a companion; looks, voice and personality are the areas Candy names. A free account can make 1. Candy’s help center describes creation on paid plans as unlimited and also lists creating a custom AI among token uses, so check for a price before you confirm.

Generate Image turns a description into a picture of a character, and Premium members can also get pictures inside a chat. The free account includes 1 image; after that, images cost tokens. Candy doesn’t publish a per-image price, so we don’t quote one.
Getting better images from CandyVideo
Three forms: Build Your Video (character, action, location and partner picked from presets, saved in My Generations), image-to-video (animate a picture you made) and Live Action (interactive scenes with select characters, Premium only). None of them is a free-form text-to-video prompt.
What Candy’s video tools can do
New Experiences: Interactive Stories, Candy Cam and Candy Roulette
Candy groups its newest formats under New Experiences (Candy help center, Aug 25, 2026):
- Interactive Stories: episodes where your choices shape what happens next; Candy’s example is “Neon Run”.
- Candy Cam: a character presented like a live feed, where you can send tips in tokens.
- Candy Roulette: random matches with characters in a video-chat format, charged at 5 tokens a minute.
Candy lists New Experiences among the Premium Plus features, together with Live Action and live audio. A related novelty is Exclusive Characters: limited-time characters you unlock with tokens (Candy’s example is 200 tokens), usually with a Private Content pack (Candy help center, “Exclusive Character”, Aug 26, 2026).

What is Candy AI?
Candy AI is an 18+ AI companion app run by EverAI Ltd. in Malta. It combines chat with AI characters, image and video generation, a character creator and Candy AI Shorts, its vertical AI series. It runs in the browser and can be added to your home screen; there's no App Store or Google Play app. Candy says it has 50 million users.
What does Candy AI Premium include?
As listed on Candy's plans page: create your own AI girlfriend(s), generate 18+ videos, generate 18+ images, full Live Action experience, unlimited text messages and 100 tokens per month. As of September 2026, Premium costs $3.99 a month on the 12-month plan (billed $47.88), $8.99 a month on the 3-month plan (billed $26.97) or $13.99 for a single month.
What costs tokens on Candy AI?
According to Candy's help center, tokens pay for image generation, creating a custom AI, voice messages, voice calls (beta), My Private Content packs and image-to-video, and some Live Action actions cost tokens too. On Candy AI Shorts, each locked episode costs 12 tokens, or 30 on creator series. Premium includes 100 tokens a month.
Is Candy AI free to use?
Partly. A free account can watch the free Shorts episodes (the first 2 of most series), send up to 5 chat messages in total, create 1 custom character and generate 1 image, according to Candy's help center. Unlimited chat, 18+ images and videos, Live Action and the monthly tokens need Premium.
What's new on Candy AI in 2026?
The newest additions in Candy's help center are Premium Plus, a higher tier with 330 tokens a month (Aug 2026); New Experiences such as Interactive Stories, Candy Cam and Candy Roulette (Aug 2026); Build Your Video, a video maker driven by presets (Aug 2026); and Exclusive Characters, limited-time characters you unlock with tokens.
Does one plan cover Shorts and chat?
Yes. Candy AI Shorts and the rest of Candy AI share one account and one Premium subscription, whether you watch on candyshorts.com or in the Shorts tab of candy.ai.
